    Best bang for buck

Posted by Big Boss Mgs3 on May 29th 2024

Stream lights makes great products for the price. I run a stream light HLX on my shotgun and now I'm running the HLX pro on my AR. The pro has a better throw than the regular HLX. Both are great honestly. The pro has the jack style plug which is pretty cool. You can't go wrong. Comes with picatinny and mlok attachments so it's pretty much ready to go. Just get a Shaffer stream light switch mount so you can mount the switch securely. Stream light does give you some adhesive tape to mount the switch but we all know that won't last the rest of time. Oh and I always go with the HLX vs the 2.0 because the HLX you can use your own 18650 batteries , whereas with the 2.0 steamlight you can't, your stuck using the proprietary battery on the 2.0. and that's a deal breaker for me. Orbtronic 18650 are the best longest lasting batteries to use. Orbtronic+ HLX = greatness

    Good light

Posted by David on Feb 12th 2024

Arrived very quickly, was able to mount it up easily, and it worked right away. I've yet to take it out shooting, but it looks to be well made. I will note that the M-Lok attachment will not work on the aero enhanced handguard (the thicc one). But I had a spare M-Lok picatinny segment so I threw that on and was good to go with the included qd picatinny mount.
